This smaller scale necklace is nearly choker length, but definitely in the realm of subtle greens. Green jade and aventurine beads range from whitish sea foam green, to pale peridot hues, to rich green, like you see in some old Chinese carvings. Tiny silvery spacers add to the smaller scale.
Some people like smaller scale pieces with lots of color and originality. The center section features oblong, deep green jade pieces, flanked with whimsical silvery fish and fleur-de-lis amid pairs and trios of dark, iridescent pearls. It’s finished with an easy to handle toggle clasp.
Aventurine rectangular pieces offset the oblong Chrysoprase, a.k.a. green serpentine stones in this asymmetric piece. In the middle an irregular, veined, green glass piece ties together the semi-precious luster and the refracted glow of three clear, honey colored crystals.
One of my customers asked for shorter necklaces to go with her petite size. This soft, delicate green piece is my first response. Sitting on the cusp of the collarbones, the pale greens of aventurine and jade will compliment anyone’s complexion.

Emerald and Jade Hues. 22”
If I forget to watch myself, all my work would either be these greens or the blue family. Pale greens and their bolder emerald cousins seem to evoke a peaceful, relaxing mood. Green is also associated with an open heart and healing.

Green Art Glass with
Pearls and Pendant. 20″
This necklace had a mind of its own and really wanted to go Big. There are so many greens in the color spectrum and they all like to hang out with silvery things, like this big lacy pendant. If you listen closely, many pieces tell you how they want to look.

Copper, Green and
Pearl Beads. 20″
This could be in either the precious metal or the green category, thanks to the flat and round coppery beads. Copper colors are natural partners to the green family, especially these jade tones.
