Cinnabar is one of many ancient Chinese arts, nearly lost during the Cultural Revolution. We have lots of red coral beads, faceted gold toned accent beads and clear round, iridescent, glass balls. Basking in the center is an antique gold finished focal bead. A mix of transparency and red.

A crystal clear transparent heart with silver foil embedded in lampwork glass holds center stage with scarlet red beads and a few baby pink beads lined up at either side. Subtly symmetric, this design includes many clear glass tube beads and tiny black spacers that accentuate its pure heart.

Five carved cinnabar styled beads are the centerpiece with luscious red coral beads, pink mother of pearl coin beads and assorted micro beads of red and gold providing lots of space in between to show off each bead’s best side.

Big, flat mother-of-pearl coins feel at home everywhere, like with these reds and pinks. In fact they boost the bright colors and help them pop amid the gold tones and crackle glass beads. You can dress up or down with this one.
Silvery leaf and lamp work focal
I loved the puffy silvery, ivy leaves hugging the wine red, square lamp work beads in the center. To balance out the piece, there are lots of fresh water pearls and more red beads.
Red antiqued beads with pink and gold tones
As always, it’s great fun to just let the beads and their colors find themselves. For this necklace, the red and pink contrast and complement at the same time.
